The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has suspended 8 universities in Nigeria from offering admission into law departments in the 2025/2026 admission process, of which Alex Ekwueme University Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI)
In other words, candidates who choose these schools during their UTME registration will not have their admissions process by the examination body.
For this reason, JAMB decided to release the list of banned universities and make it known to the public so no one who wishes to study law would choose any other institutions.
Bear it in mind that these institutions will not be removed from the list of available universities during UTME registration. Students applying to study other courses in the school can choose them except for law aspiring students.
Reason for Suspension
There are basic requirements for studying law in Nigerian universities which the institutions have failed to comply with. Therefore, they are seen as defaulters and suspension had to follow suit.
